Welcome to North Country Auto Rescue. These Terms of Service govern your use of our mobile mechanic and roadside assistance services in Peru, Plattsburgh, and surrounding North Country areas in New York. By scheduling a service with us, you agree to follow these rules.
2. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing our website or booking our services via phone, text, or online, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these legal terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
3. Services Provided
- Mobile mechanic repairs (brake repairs, battery, starter, and alternator replacements)
- Roadside assistance (emergency tire changes, fuel delivery)
- No-start diagnostics
- Pre-purchase vehicle inspections
4. Service Area and Availability
We primarily serve Peru, Plattsburgh, and surrounding Clinton County communities. Service availability is subject to our current schedule and technician locations. Response times for roadside assistance are estimates and may vary based on traffic, weather, and call volume.
5. Estimates and Pricing
Pricing is based on the service requested, parts required, and travel distance. Initial diagnostics fees apply to no-start calls. Any estimates provided are based on the information given by the customer and may change once a physical inspection is performed on-site.
6. Payments
Payment is due immediately upon completion of service. We accept major credit cards and other electronic payments as specified by our technicians at the time of service.
7. Cancellations and Rescheduling
Please notify us as soon as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule. Repeated late cancellations or no-shows at the time of arrival may result in a dispatch fee.
8. Customer Responsibilities
- Providing a safe, level location for repairs off major highways where possible.
- Providing accurate vehicle information (make, model, year, and symptoms).
- Ensuring technician access to the vehicle and keys at the scheduled time.
9. Limitations of Service
We do not perform major engine overhauls or transmission swaps on-site. Services may be limited or delayed due to extreme weather conditions or safety concerns. We reserve the right to refuse service if the work environment is deemed unsafe for our technicians.
10. Warranties and Disclaimers
Repair services are provided 'as is'. While we use professional-grade tools and parts, North Country Auto Rescue makes no warranties beyond those provided by parts manufacturers unless explicitly stated in writing. We disclaim all implied warranties of merchantability.
11. Limitation of Liability
North Country Auto Rescue is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from vehicle failure, service delays, or repairs. Our total liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific service provided.
12. Third-Party Services
In cases where towing or specialized shop equipment is needed, we may refer you to third-party partners. We are not responsible for the performance or pricing of these independent businesses.
